Perhaps this isn't the most exciting topic we could write about but we'd like to talk about seatbelts. It appears to us that although the majority of people wear seat belts regularly there are a hardcore few that think they don't need them.
The truth of the matter is that seatbelts save lives; there's no point disputing it because the number of people who were killed as a result of wearing a seatbelt pales in comparison to the numbers killed who were not.
What we're keen to discuss is the effect that passengers not wearing seatbelts can have on the driver themself. It is thought that 10 people a year are killed because the passengers behind them weren't wearing a seatbelt and were thrown forward.
Apart from anything else, how would you feel if one of your friends was seriously injured or killed while you were driving and all it would have taken to save them, was to ask them to put on their seatbelt?
Perhaps not the most cheery of articles but we believe that this is an important issue and we're not afraid to discuss it.
