There are a few tips we can give you that can really make a difference to your car insurance.

1. Don't increase the value of your car in hopes that the insurance company will pay out more if you have to make a claim. Insurance companies will only pay out the current market value of the car. They're not going to give you £50,000 for your clapped out escort.

2. Get quotes from at least 3 companies. Different insurers specialise in different groups.

3. Get an immobiliser fitted. Many insurance companies will only insure high risk drivers/cars if they have an immobiliser fitted. Very often you will save what you paid for it in the savings.

4. Make sure that you ring an insurance broker(such as us) because you will find that they offer some very good discounts compared to direct insurers.

5. ALWAYS declare EVERY MOD you have made to your car. Things like induction kits aren't likely to put your premium up but could void your policy in the event of a claim.
